I don't have any experience in chemistry, or making detergents or cleaning products - Is this course suitable for me?
Yes, the course is written in plain English, and designed for anyone - from complete beginners, to those with some previous experience in formulating. You do not need to understand any complicated chemistry - just follow the instructions and you will be able to formulate high quality products. The 6 training modules provide everything you need to know.
Sure - you don't require experience, but some previous knowledge in formulating won't hurt. Making liquid cleaners, detergents & hand wash is easier, faster, much more profitable with a much bigger market!
I live in UK / USA / Canada / Australia / Asia / South America / Africa / etc ... is this course suitable for me?
Yes - you can download the course from anywhere in the world. The formulations meet global quality & safety standards. The Suppliers Directory, included in the Modules, is international.
All modules/manuals are in pdf format. You can print them or read them on any digital device. When your payment is processed, you will receive an email containing a link to download your course. You can save this to your computer for easy reference.
The course is international, and the Modules include a worldwide directory of suppliers - this will enable you to choose your required equipment, ingredients, pigments & fragrances according to your chosen range of products.
I recommend you start by thoroughly reading the manuals, then choose a selection of products that you would most like to make. You can get started at your own pace - order sample ingredients from the suppliers directory (included in the Modules), make samples of your products for your customers' orders. Follow the manufacturing procedures in the Modules, and make the quantity required for your order.
To get started you will need some basic lab equipment, which can be found inexpensively online or in stores - this includes plastic or stainless steel mixing bowls, stainless steel saucepans, spoons, thermometer, digital scales, pH testing paper. The Modules include thorough instructions for set-up and manufacturing, and international suppliers. For ingredients, you will only need to buy small quantities, enough to make sample batches. When you receive orders for your products, you can buy ingredients in larger quantities, based on the size of your orders. When you are ready to increase production, the Modules provide my ingenious instructions for making large or small batches with basic inexpensive equipment.
There are free detergent-making formulas available on the internet - but they all contain trademark ingredients. Are your formulations the same as these?
No - you will be formulating all your products from scratch, using the same raw ingredients available to the major international manufacturing companies (and included in the Suppliers Directory Module). There are no trademark blends or pre-made bases - these eat into your profits, and lead to supplier reliance - that's not healthy for your business!
There are many free laundry detergent formulas on the internet that use kitchen and supermarket ingredients, such as grated soap and bicarb soda. What's the difference between these and your formulations?
These free laundry detergent recipes are designed for home-use only. They have the potential to cause damage to washing machines, and damage and discolouration to clothing fibres. They are not suitable for retail sale. My formulations use high-performance modern surfactants, designed to produce industry-proven products. The ingredients are designed to provide maximum profits for your business.
